In 2025 we’re excited to be celebrating 185 years of Cunard!
185 years of ocean travel is no mean feat, and to celebrate this incredible milestone for our brand, the World of Cunard Competition returns this year with a new theme celebrating the ‘Now & Wow’ of Cunard.
The Cunard we know today is built upon a rich, 185-year history, but what is it that makes our brand so special to you today? What is it that makes you think ‘wow!’ about working on board one of Cunard’s Queens, or at one of our global offices?
We’d love for you to bring this to life in your competition entries, and how you do this is up to you, provided it falls under one of our three categories: video, photography, or art. You can enter on your own but even better, have some fun with your team, friends, and colleagues!
This year’s prizes
An overall winner will be selected from each of the categories below to receive:
- £500 plus £1,000 towards their crew welfare fund if on board, or
- £500 plus £1,000 towards a social event for their team, if shoreside.
Every month we’ll also draw three entries at random, who, in recognition of Cunard’s 185th year, will receive £185 for their efforts. Good luck!
Where will the trophy travel next?
An overall winner will also be selected to receive the prestigious We Are Cunard Trophy – to take pride of place on board their ship or in their global office. The trophy is currently onboard Queen Mary 2. Will it stay there for another year?

When creating your entries:
- Make sure it comes under one of our three categories: Art (E.g. Written, visual, sculpture), Photography, or Video.
- Be thoughtful of our guests and do not involve or impact them
- Stay safe – don’t put yourself or anyone else at risk
- Use your phone to video or take a photo – no fancy cameras needed
- If you want to use video, keep your video to 60 seconds or less
- You can submit as many entries as you like

Terms & conditions:
- This year’s World of Cunard competition is open from 4 March – 3 May 2025. Entries submitted after this date will not be accepted.
- The World of Cunard Competition is open to all Cunard Fleet, Cunard shoreside colleagues across our global offices (including those CUK colleagues supporting Cunard).
- Entries can be submitted as individuals or teams. If sharing a video or photo, please ensure you have permission from everyone who features in your entry before submitting.
- Our winners and honourable mentions will be selected by our Shoreside White Star Service Committee – made up of representatives from across the business.
- Prizes are non-transferable.
