Crew Planning
We are your team of dedicated Crew Planners, planning rotations for every crewmember in the Carnival UK fleet. We’re here to ensure that our ships are sailing with their full complement of motivated, qualified, competent, and happy crew.
A ‘rotation’ is your planned tour of duty with a start and end date, an assigned ship, and the role (rank) you’ll be employed in. To ensure expertise, experience, and continuity, all the roles onboard are divided into three areas: Cunard Guest Experience, P&O Cruises Guest Experience, and Maritime.
Guest Experience (Cunard and P&O Cruises)
Maritime
Your Rotations planner (Specialist) will have a dedicated area of expertise, planning rotations for specific areas. If you have a Rotations query, please see our Help section.

What are the Rotations Policies?
Here you will find useful information about how Rotations are planned, and what to do if you need to make a change to your current or upcoming rotation.
When planning Rotations, Specialists are guided by the Fleet Rotations Policy (FPO 009), factoring in continuity, handovers, projects, ship itineraries, training, operational requirements and succession planning, to name but a few. Please visit Policies (GHESS) for more information.
Rotations are generally planned to a minimum 12 month rolling view where possible, although amendments are sometimes necessary at short notice if operationally required.
Once you have signed your SEA (Seafarer Employment Agreement) you are agreeing to work onboard for the dates specified. However, we understand that things can change, and you may need to request to amend your confirmed Rotation plan.
If you think you may need to disembark early, please consult (FPO 001) Fleet Early Disembarkation Policy (Policies GHESS). The following scenarios are accepted reasons to disembark early:
If you need guidance or advice on what to do if you need to request early disembarkation, please either speak to your HOD or the onboard HR Manager.
There is also a policy if you would like to request additional leave (Fleet 14 – Fleet Additional Leave Policy) – visit Policies (GHESS) for more information.
If you work for one of our Revenue Partners (i.e. Hardings Retail, OneSpaWorld, Carnival Casino, Clarendon Fine Art, De Montfort Art, Tempest Photography), please contact your company directly with any rotation queries.
