It’s time to reveal the winners of the World of Cunard Competition 2024! The theme this time was ‘Sailing as four’ to celebrate an exciting new chapter for Cunard, with lots of new opportunities for our guests and our colleagues.

A big thank you to everyone ship and shore, who entered this year’s competition (we received over 100 entries) and congratulations again to all our finalists under each category!

The prizes…

Not only has one winner been selected from each category to receive £500, plus £1,000 towards their crew welfare fund, our overall competition winner will also receive the prestigious We are Cunard trophy, to take pride of place on board their ship!

Art category and overall competition winner!

Congratulations, Marlon Umali, Crew Administrator, HR
Queen Mary 2!

Marlon’s entry in the Art category, captured ‘sailing as four’ in vibrant colours – showcasing creativity and the wonderful world of Cunard reaching all four corners of the world. Congratulations, Marlon! Your prize money is on its way to you and your team, and the trophy will be taking pride of place on board Queen Mary 2!

“… Sailing as 4, like the 4 elements, 4 corners of the world – North, south, East & West. The vibrant colours and shapes represent the exciting ways Cunard can offer guests and crew. With the shadow of Queen Elizabeth 2 casting the number 4. The monogram letters fit the corners.”

Photography category winner

Congratulations, Gibson Negradas, Commis De Cuisine
Queen Elizabeth

A simple, yet very effective image, capturing the dedication of our crew across the fleet and the sacrifices sometimes made to deliver exceptional White Star Service.

“This is a photo of My friend Robert, a Demi Chef de Cuisine, taken during production time for dinner. Just an ordinary seafarer…bearing the name of Cunard on his chest and living our brand values… every plate he finishes is a successful step toward his goals and family’s future.”

Video category winner

Congratulations, Sayoko Sasamoto, Japanese International Host Queen Anne

Sayoko captured the birth of our fleet of four from arrival in the yard, through the many highs along the way, until it was time to go home at the end of the tour

“My adventure on Queen Anne. From the moment I saw the new Queen, from up in the air till the last sunset onboard.”

A special mention also goes to…

Norikazu Takeuchi, Learning & Development Officer
Queen Victoria

“184 cranes celebrating the next Cunard Chapter as four”

This creative entry is currently on display on Queen Victoria and will also travel to other ships in the next couple of months!

Keep an eye out for news of this year’s World of Cunard Competition, launching in February, with more chances to win!
