It’s the big day! Final preparations are being made on board Azura as guests arrive in Barbados for her first cruise in almost 20 months.

Azura joins Britannia, who is also based in Barbados, while Iona and Ventura are sailing out of Southampton. And by the end of April 2022 P&O Cruises full fleet will be back at sea as Aurora, then Arcadia, return to service.

The past six months have seen us successfully sail Britannia, Ventura and Azura out of operational pause, as well as the much-anticipated arrival of Iona, including the naming ceremony and maiden cruise. Britannia and Iona led the way for Carnival UK’s return to international cruising after the successful summer season of UK coastal cruises.

“Our ship and shore teams have worked tirelessly to develop, test and launch countless new ways of working, and we are incredibly proud to say that our new processes and protocols have been recognised as industry best-practice by independent auditors, Bureau Veritas. Our colleagues on board have also had the opportunity to once again SHINE at what they do and create unforgettable holiday happiness.

“Please take a moment today to celebrate our achievements so far and, as always, thank you for your outstanding support, service and hard work.”
Paul Ludlow, president P&O Cruises

Thank you to all colleagues who have supported Azura’s return to service.

Azura is Back!
