We work with a number of Global Talent Partners (previously referred to as ‘manning agents’) across the globe who help us to source and recruit our talented colleagues on board.
Thanks to our on board colleagues speaking up, we discovered some of our people were exposed to unethical practices in their pre-employment stages with a particular Global Talent Partner. As a result we were able to take immediate steps to investigate and took swift action to ensure that this was not able to happen to anyone else in future.
We have strict standards in place to protect our colleagues and require that all of our Global Talent Partners meet these standards. When registering with these Global Talent Partners, our colleagues should never be charged any fees or asked for anything else of value in return for employment contracts with P&O Cruises or Cunard.
If you’ve been asked to make improper payments or been subject to other unethical practices, it’s really important you speak up and report this to your Supervisor, Department Head, HR Manager or to the Carnival UK Ethics & Compliance team via ethics@carnivalukgroup.com.
Alternatively you can access the Carnival Compliance Reporting Helpline at +1-305-406-5863, via extension 30003 on board P&O Cruises and Cunard ships or at www.carnivalcompliance.com.
If more of our people can feel empowered to speak up in this way, we can take all necessary steps to respect and protect our colleagues.
