As we are all too aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted absolutely every part of our business. When faced with such unprecedented operational challenges it’s even more important that we all remember our highest responsibilities and our top priorities are to operate safely, to protect the environment, and to be in compliance everywhere we operate in the world. Here’s how you can do just that…
Speak up if something isn’t right
We all have a responsibility to speak up if we have a concern or see something that doesn’t look right. This makes sure that we’re able to continue to be at our best while improving. Here are a few examples of what you should report: fraud or corrupt activities; accounting and reporting misconduct; HESS violations and other unlawful activity or violation of company policies.
Here’s how you can report a concern:
- Your Supervisor/ Manager
- Your Designated Person Ashore (DPA)
- Your Head of Department
- The Human Resources Department
- The Ethics & Compliance Department at Ethics@carnivalukgroup.com
- Via the Compliance Hotline (can be anonymous) (+1-305-406-5863 / carnivalcompliance.com / Onboard – 30003)
Think
Now that we’re working differently you might face other compliance challenges, especially with fewer colleagues during the pause in operations. You therefore might be the only person to spot something – don’t assume someone else will speak up – make sure you report it!
Don’t be scared
We don’t tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or participates in an investigation.
